A True Family Restaurant in Colorado Springs
Vincent Prymus hails from Littleneck Queens, NY. He was born with a passion for cooking, and by age 7 was cooking meals for his family. He got his first restaurant job as a bus boy in an Italian restaurant at 14, and has been in the industry ever since. After working as a line cook while attending Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, he decided to head west to Boulder Colorado in 1999. Soon he was working as a Chef for the Colorado Pub Company, heading the kitchens of several of their restaurants in northern Colorado, serving his longest tenure as executive chef of Lansdowne Arms Bistro and Pub from 2006-2014. It was then that he moved south to Colorado Springs with his new family to pursue his dream of restaurant ownership.
After working as General Manager of Wade’s Café for a year and a half, he and his wife, Megahn Prymus, purchased the restaurant in January of 2016. Megahn Prymus was born and raised in Colorado Springs, and grew up in Wade’s own neighborhood, Village Seven. She went to Palmer High School and often had breakfast at Wade’s with her family on weekends. After studying classical voice at the University of Colorado in Boulder, she enjoyed the dual careers of banker by day and entertainer by night, until she pursued full-time motherhood in 2013. As owners, Vincent runs the daily restaurant operations; managing as he cooks on the line. If you’ve ever ordered eggs or bacon from their menu, there’s a good chance that he made it for you himself. Megahn manages the books and paperwork from her home office where she can keep an eye on their two small sons. Wade’s Café is truly a family restaurant.
